The straightforward rules for using Paivio.
These terms apply to the public website, waitlist, and invite-only study product. By using those services, you agree to these terms.
Effective September 15, 2026
Paivio today
Paivio is an early-stage study product. Anyone may view the public website and request access through the waitlist. Study accounts are currently available by invitation. Joining the waitlist is a request for access, not a promise of admission or a launch date.
Your account
Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at info@paivio.ai if you believe someone else has access to it.
Your study material
You keep ownership of material you upload. You give Paivio permission to store, process, and transform that material only as needed to provide the service, including creating cards, organizing concepts, and presenting study sessions. Only upload material you have the right to use.
Acceptable use
Do not use Paivio to:
- break the law or violate another person's rights;
- upload malicious code or interfere with the service;
- probe, bypass, or misuse security or access controls; or
- access another person's account or private study material.
AI and study guidance
Paivio uses software and AI to generate and organize study material. Generated content can be incomplete or wrong, so check important material against trusted sources. The service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a guarantee of any exam result, grade, recall level, or learning outcome.
Availability and changes
The service may change, experience interruptions, or remove experimental features as it develops. We may limit or end access when needed to protect Paivio, its users, or the service, or when these terms are violated. You may stop using Paivio at any time; account deletion is currently handled by request at the email address above.
Paivio's materials
Paivio owns the service, software, site design, brand, and Paivio-provided content, excluding material you upload. These terms do not give you the right to copy, resell, or redistribute those materials except as the law allows.
Privacy
The privacy policy explains how Paivio handles waitlist, account, study, site-measurement, and advertising-measurement data.
On eligible public pages, Paivio uses Meta advertising measurement for visits and waitlist signups, and Meta is the recipient. UK and EEA visitors are asked first; Meta advertising measurement starts only after “Allow measurement,” while US visitors keep the existing default-on flow. The privacy policy lists the events and matching details sent, how long Paivio keeps them, and how to opt out with Global Privacy Control. Paivio never sells or shares your decks, study history, or profile for advertising.
Disclaimers and responsibility
Paivio is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent the law permits. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular course or exam. To the extent the law permits, Paivio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continuing to use Paivio after updated terms take effect means you accept them. Questions can be sent to info@paivio.ai.
